Celebrating 7 amazing years with my valentine.
If you know me, you know I love celebrations. And each Valentine's Day is always a special time to celebrate! Usually we get dressed up and go out to eat to a place we can't afford, but this year we decided to stay in with dinner and a movie. We still dressed up ((of course!)) but it was nice to do something a little different for our 7th Valentine's Day.
Before I share my morning adventures with you, here's a rundown of our night:
red, long-stemmed roses
Lindt chocolates
Spaghetti and meatballs
Lady and the Tramp
chocolate covered strawberries
snuggling on the coach...
((while the roommates tiptoe through the house and sigh and "ahhh" at our Valentine's Day cuteness))
Our roommates weren't around during dinner, so I had to compromise by sticking the camera in the microwave and switching on the self-timer ((the camera, not the microwave)). Oh I am so resourceful.

The night was wonderfully wonderful. And si romantique. ((Google Translate is so smart.))
Now, on to my adventurous morning. I woke up at 6 a.m. because I decided I was going to make Toby cinnamon rolls from scratch before his 8 a.m. class. Until I found out it takes FOREVER to make dough from scratch. So, the cinnamon rolls ended up being a nice treat between lunch and dinner. We were so full of sugar by the end of the night that I've been on a sugar fast for the past couple of days. Anyway, the cinnamon rolls...... mmmmmmmmm the cinnamon rolls.
They were delicious. And despite all the trouble I had making them ((I am completely an amateur)), I will definitely make them again. Toby loved them by the way... no matter how much I struggled with them, I call that a success! Did I mention they were heart-shaped cinnamon rolls?

Like all of the others, our 7th Valentine's Day was one to remember. But I'm not quite sure any will ever beat our first Valentine's... being dropped off by our parents at the No.1 Chinese Restaurant, then walking next door to Staples to shop while we waited on them to pick us up. Oh, to be 15 again...
